Terms of Use

Version of 6. Oktober 2026

These terms govern how you use lovepages. They apply between you and HP Capital GmbH, Mayrwiesstraße 11, 5300 Hallwang, Austria (“we”). All details about us are in the Legal notice.

1. Who sells you what

1.1 You conclude the purchase with Paddle. Paddle.com Market Limited (30 Old Bailey, London EC4M 7AU, United Kingdom; for buyers in the USA and Canada, the Paddle company responsible there) is our reseller. Paddle accepts your payment, remits the tax and sends you the receipt. Paddle’s buyer terms apply to the purchase; you can see them in the payment window. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. The contract is concluded as soon as you pay in the payment window; until then you can change everything.

1.2 You receive the service from us. We create your page, keep it online and are your contact for everything relating to the page. These Terms of Use apply to that.

1.3 You can also assert your statutory rights as a consumer directly against us – withdrawal, defects, complaints. We do not send you back and forth between Paddle and us.

2. Who may use lovepages

2.1 You must be at least 14 years old. If you are not yet 18, you pay with your own money that you are free to dispose of, or your parents agree.

2.2 The lovepages service is intended for private purposes.

2.3 If someone under 18 has placed an order and their parents or the person themselves contact us, we refund the full amount at any time during the online period and delete the page – without proof and without discussion. We do the same on our own initiative if we learn that someone under 14 has placed an order.

3. What you get

3.1 A personal mini website (“your page”) based on the question you chose, with your photos and with texts based on your details – as you saw it in the preview before the purchase and, where applicable, edited it. If you buy without a preview, the texts are only written after payment; you can then change them via your manage link (section 3.3).

3.2 The texts are written by an artificial intelligence (a language model) from what you enter in the form. Your text details are sent to a service provider for this; your photos are not. Details are in the Privacy notice. AI texts can be off the mark. Read your page before you send it.

3.3 You can edit the texts yourself at any time – before the purchase in the preview and afterwards via your private manage link. You can have them rewritten as many times as shown in the preview and on the manage page.

3.4 Your page gets its own address under lovepages.app that cannot be guessed. It is blocked for search engines. It has no password: anyone who knows the address can see the page. So only give the link to the person the page is for.

3.5 Your page is activated as soon as Paddle confirms the payment to us – normally within a few minutes. Only then does it get its link; you see it on screen and receive it by email. If it has still not been activated 48 hours after your payment, we cancel the order ourselves and arrange a full refund; you receive an email about it and do not need to do anything.

3.6 We never write to the person the page is for. You send the link yourself.

3.7 Your contract comprises two services, each with its own price; both prices are shown at checkout and in your order confirmation:
a) Activation and handover of your finished page – the page you saw in the preview is activated and handed over to you after your payment: it gets its link, you can view it and send it on, and you may use the texts freely (section 5.2). This service is fully performed once the page is activated.
b) Online time – we keep the page reachable at its link for the chosen term.

3.8 Preview before the purchase. Before you pay, you see your finished page as a preview – free of charge and without obligation. The preview is only for you: it does not have a link yet and cannot be shared. Sections 2, 5, 6 and 14 already apply to your details, your photos and the preview. If you do not buy, we automatically delete details, texts and photos; the periods are in the Privacy notice. There is no entitlement to a preview; at times of high demand it may come later or not at all.

3.9 Add-on “remove the line”. At purchase you can optionally add, for a one-time €2.49, the removal of the line “made with love · lovepages” from your page. The add-on is voluntary and not a condition of the purchase. We deliver it with the finished page: as soon as the page is online, the line is no longer on it. The legal notice, the privacy notice and the report function always stay visible.

4. Online period and end

4.1 Your page stays online for as long as you chose when ordering (the online period is shown at checkout and in your order confirmation). The online period starts as soon as the page has been activated after your payment.

4.2 At the end of the online period, the contract ends automatically. There is no subscription, no automatic renewal and no further charge.

4.3 After the end, the page can no longer be reached. 30 days later we delete the page, your photos and your details; until then you can extend it via your manage link – the new online period then starts on the day you extend. Save anything you want to keep beforehand.

4.4 You can permanently delete your page yourself at any time via the manage link. There is no refund for the remaining online period in that case; your right of withdrawal (section 9) is not affected.

4.5 During the online period we keep the page reachable. Short interruptions due to maintenance or faults may occur.

4.6 Extending your page. Until your page ends and for 30 days after that, you can extend it via your manage link: 3 months for €9, 6 months for €14, 12 months for €19, each including VAT and paid once. This is voluntary; there is no subscription and no automatic renewal. The new time follows on from the previous end; if the page has already expired, it starts on the day you extend. You cannot extend while the page is blocked or removed. Each extension is a separate contract with its own confirmation by email and its own 14-day right of withdrawal. If you withdraw from only the extension or reclaim only its payment, we reverse only the extension: you get back the price of the online time not yet used, and the page stays online until its previous end and is therefore not deleted. Before the end we remind you by email; you can unsubscribe from these reminders at any time, free of charge.

5. Your photos and details

5.1 Photos, names and details remain yours. You allow us to store them, to process them technically (for example reduce their size, remove location data) and to display them on your page – only in order to create and operate your page, and only for as long as it exists. We do not use them for advertising or other purposes.

5.2 You may use the texts created for your page freely. We do not promise that they are unique.

5.3 Your promise. You promise us, and guarantee to us, that
a) you have all rights to the photos, texts and details that you upload or enter, or the permission of the rights holders;
b) every person who can be recognised in the photos agrees to their use on your page. If the page is a surprise for the person shown, you instead promise: you know them personally, the photos were taken with their knowledge, and you have no reason to assume that they would object to the page;
c) you only send the page to the person it is meant for; other people appear in the photos at most by chance in the background;
d) nobody in the photos is under 14 years old;
e) nothing on your page breaches section 6.

5.4 Your responsibility. You are responsible for everything you upload, enter or change in the texts – not us. We store this content on your behalf and do not adopt it as our own. Before activation, we automatically check your texts for serious breaches (section 7.9); we do not check photos in advance.

5.5 The person shown may remove the page. They are not our customer. From the start, your page shows them a note saying who the page is from, and a remove function. You instruct us now, in advance: if someone uses this function, we take the page offline immediately and delete it after 7 days – without asking you and without the person having to give any reason. You agree to this. On request, we refund the share for the unused hosting (section 7.7); your right of withdrawal during the first 14 days remains. Please do not pressure the person to change their mind.

5.6 If claims are made against us. If the person shown, a rights holder or anyone else makes a claim against us because you culpably breached section 5.3 or section 6, you indemnify us and hold us harmless. This means you reimburse us for
– what we have to pay as a result (damages and amounts from a settlement that we could reasonably conclude), and
– the necessary and reasonable costs of our legal defence (lawyer and court).
We inform you immediately, give you the opportunity to comment and keep the costs as low as possible. You give us the information we need to defend ourselves.
This does not cover damage that we caused through our own fault, or fines or penalties imposed on us for our own breaches of duty.

6. What is not allowed

You may not use lovepages for:

a) photos or details of people who clearly do not or would not agree – in particular after a break-up, after a rejection or if the person has asked you to leave them alone;
b) photos of people under 14;
c) nudity, sexual or intimate depictions;
d) harassment, pestering, stalking, threats, humiliation or pressure on the person shown;
e) hate, degradation or incitement against people or groups;
f) photos, texts or names to which you have no rights (other people’s copyrights, trademarks, images from the internet);
g) pages about celebrities or about people you do not know personally;
h) anything that breaks the law;
i) technical attacks, automated ordering or circumventing blocks;
j) addresses, phone numbers, email addresses, links or other details that could be used to find, contact or expose someone.

7. Reporting, blocking, deleting

7.1 Reporting. Anyone can report a page via the “Report this page” link, which is on every page, or via our contact form and the contact point in the Legal notice. Anyone who gives an email address immediately receives a confirmation of receipt and later our decision.

7.2 Removal by the person shown. If someone uses the remove function on the page or states in a report that they are shown on the page themselves, our system takes the page offline immediately and automatically (section 5.5). No person from our team is involved in this decision. You receive an email immediately. After 7 days we permanently delete the page. If you are sure that it was not the person shown who removed the page – for example because you have not yet sent the link to anyone – contact us within these 7 days. A person from our team will then review it and put the page back online if you are right.

7.3 Review by a person. A person from our team looks at every report, and at a removal by the person shown if you object or the person writes to us. We decide carefully, without arbitrariness and as quickly as possible, within one month at the latest. Possible outcomes: the page stays online; the page goes back online; the page stays blocked; the page is deleted.

7.4 When we block or delete. We may block your page if it breaches section 5 or 6, if a person shown requests it or if an authority or a court orders it. We delete if the breach has been established, 7 days after a removal by the person shown and immediately after a refund or chargeback (section 9). We do not check photos in advance; no automatic image filter is in use. Before activation, we check texts automatically (section 7.9).

7.5 What we tell you – and what we do not. If we block or delete your page, you receive an email immediately. It always states: what we did, which section of these terms or which law we rely on, whether the decision was made automatically or by a person, and what you can do about it. In the case of a breach of section 5 or 6, we also state what type of breach it is. We never disclose who reported or removed a page or what that person wrote to us. If the page was taken offline through the remove function (sections 5.5 and 7.2), that is exactly the reason – you will not learn more about it from us.

7.6 Complaint. If you do not agree with a block or deletion – or, as the person who reported, with our decision – reply to our email or write to the contact point. A person from our team reviews the case again. You can also go to court; you can also contact the authority supervising digital services in Austria (KommAustria).

7.7 Money in case of a block or removal. If your page is blocked or deleted because you breached section 5 or 6, you do not get any money back for the remaining online period. If it was removed through the remove function (sections 5.5 and 7.2), we refund on request the hosting share for the unused online period. The basis is: the final price of €39/44/49 for 3/6/12 months includes €34 for creating the page and €5/10/15 for hosting. Creating the page is done once the page is finished; that share remains. We refund the hosting share pro rata by calendar days: share × days after the day of removal until the end of the online period ÷ days of the online period, rounded to the nearest cent. An extension counts with its full price as hosting. Example: 12 months, removed after 91 of 365 days: €15 × 274 ÷ 365 = €11.26. You request the refund with the button on your management page or by writing to us (section 10.4). We arrange it within 14 days via Paddle to your payment method. Your right of withdrawal during the first 14 days and your rights in case of defects remain. If a block turns out to be unjustified, we put the page back online and extend the online period by the time it was blocked. The add-on “remove the line” (section 3.9) is part of creating the page and is delivered once the page is finished; its price remains.

7.8 Serious crimes. If we suspect a crime that endangers a person’s life or safety, and in the case of depictions of the abuse of minors, we inform the police and pass on the data we have.

7.9 Check before activation. Before your page goes online – and whenever you change its texts later –, our system automatically checks the names, your details and the texts of the page for signs of threats, insults, sexual content relating to minors, addresses, phone numbers, email addresses, links and details that could be used to track someone down (section 6 a, b, c, d, e, h and j). If the system finds such a sign, it does not activate the page but puts it on hold, and you receive an email immediately. Whether the page then goes online, is blocked or is deleted is always decided by a person from our team – never by the machine alone. If it goes online, its online period is extended by the time the check took. You can challenge the hold as described in section 7.6.

8. Your private manage link

8.1 With the order confirmation you receive a private link. Only with this link can you edit or delete your page. Do not pass it on.

8.2 If you have lost the link or it has fallen into the wrong hands, write to us from the email address used for your order. We send a new link to this address; the old one then no longer works.

9. Withdrawal, refund, chargeback

9.1 You can withdraw from the contract for 14 days without giving any reason. How this works and what happens then is set out under Withdrawal and refunds.

9.2 At checkout you expressly requested that we begin immediately. If you withdraw afterwards, you therefore pay for what we have provided up to then: the price of the activation and handover (section 3.7 a), because it is then already fully performed, and the price of the online time (section 3.7 b) pro rata for the days from activation until your withdrawal. You get the rest back; we round in your favour. Paddle carries out the refund. The add-on “remove the line” (section 3.9) is part of creating the page: it is delivered once the page is finished and, like the price of the activation and handover, remains with us.

9.3 Deleted immediately after a refund. As soon as a refund following your withdrawal or a full refund has been arranged, the contract ends and we delete your page immediately – including photos, texts and details. It cannot be restored. For an extension, section 4.6 applies: we then refund only the extension, and the page stays.

9.4 Deleted immediately after a chargeback. If you reclaim the payment through your bank or card provider (chargeback), the page has not been paid for. The contract ends and we also delete your page immediately; you receive an email about this. If the chargeback is later reversed, you can create a new page free of charge or get your money back – whichever you prefer. If there is a problem, please contact us or Paddle first: it is quicker, and your page is kept. If the chargeback concerns only an extension, section 4.6 applies.

9.5 What remains after deletion. We keep a record without content: order number, times, the consents you gave, the payment, refund or chargeback record and your declaration of withdrawal. We need it as evidence and for accounting; the periods are in the Privacy notice. Your page can remain in our backups for up to 30 days longer.

10. If something does not work

10.1 You have the statutory warranty rights for digital services. This means: the page must be as described and must work throughout the online period. If it does not, we put it right. If we do not manage this within a reasonable time, you can demand a price reduction or terminate the contract and get your money back.

10.2 We are answerable to you ourselves for this – regardless of whether you also have claims against Paddle.

10.3 During the online period, we keep the page technically up to date so that it works in common browsers on phones and computers.

10.4 If there is a problem, write to us via our contact form or at the email address in the Legal notice. We usually reply within two working days.

11. Liability

11.1 We are liable without limitation

11.2 In the case of slight negligence, we are only liable if we breached an obligation on whose fulfilment you may rely under this contract (for example: creating the page and keeping it online). Liability is then limited to the damage that can typically be expected with such a contract.

11.3 Otherwise, we are not liable for slight negligence.

11.4 Your responsibility for content and your obligation to indemnify us and hold us harmless are set out in sections 5.4 and 5.6.

12. Law, court, dispute resolution

12.1 These Terms of Use are governed by Austrian law, excluding the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods (CISG). If you are a consumer, you nevertheless keep the protection of the mandatory provisions of the country in which you have your habitual residence. This choice of law does not take any of that away from you.

12.2 As a consumer, you can sue us at your place of residence or at our registered office. We can only sue you at your place of residence.

12.3 We are not obliged to take part in proceedings before a consumer arbitration body. If we cannot resolve a complaint ourselves, we will tell you whether we will take part in proceedings in that case. The bodies responsible would be the Austrian consumer conciliation body (Schlichtung für Verbrauchergeschäfte, www.verbraucherschlichtung.at) and the Austrian internet ombudsman (Internet Ombudsstelle, www.ombudsstelle.at).

12.4 For the purchase itself (payment, invoice), the rules in Paddle’s buyer terms apply in relation to Paddle.

13. Language, version, retention

13.1 You can order in German, English, Spanish, French or Italian. These terms are available in all five languages. Legally, the German version is authoritative; the translations are there to help you understand it. If a translation and the German version differ, or if a provision is unclear, the interpretation more favourable to you applies.

13.2 The version that was shown in the shop when you ordered applies. We do not subsequently change the terms for an ongoing order.

13.3 You receive these terms by email with the order confirmation: as a file attached to the email, in full and in the language of your order, and additionally as a link; if you do not order in German, together with a link to the German version. You can also save or print them in the shop at any time. We keep the version and the time of your consent.

13.4 If any provision of these terms is invalid, the law applies in its place. The remaining provisions remain valid.

14. Data protection: we process the content of your page on your behalf

14.1 What this is about. We process the photos, names, details and texts of your page (“content”) only on your behalf and according to your instructions – as your technical service provider. You decide which content goes on the page, who it is for, how long it stays online and who gets the link. Insofar as the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) applies to you as the client, this section is the agreement under Art. 28 GDPR. If you use lovepages purely privately, the GDPR does not apply to you; in that case the commitments in this section apply as our contractual obligations towards you.

14.2 Subject matter, duration, data. Subject matter: creating, storing and displaying your page. Duration: from your upload until deletion (end of the online period or earlier under sections 4.4, 5.5, 7 or 9). Data: photos, names and pet names, your details, the texts of the page. Data subjects: you and the person shown.

14.3 Your instructions are: your order and your entries; your edits and your deletion via the manage link; and the advance instruction in section 5.5 (removal by the person shown). You send us other instructions from the email address used for your order. If we consider an instruction to be unlawful, we tell you so and do not carry it out.

14.4 What we commit to. We
a) use the content exclusively for your page – not for advertising, not as an example, not for analysis and not to train an AI;
b) oblige everyone who has access at our company to keep it confidential;
c) protect the content with appropriate technical and organisational measures (including encrypted transmission, an address that cannot be guessed, blocking for search engines, access for only a few people);
d) help you if the person shown exercises their rights (access, erasure, objection), and answer such requests for you if they reach us;
e) notify you without undue delay if content of your page is affected by a data breach;
f) delete the content at the end (section 4.3), unless a law requires it to be kept; it can remain in backups for up to 30 days longer;
g) give you, on request, the information you need to check compliance with this section.

14.5 Other service providers. You agree that we use the service providers named in the Privacy notice for your page. Each of them is bound by a contract to the same level of protection. The list there shows the date it was last updated. If we want to add or replace a service provider, we announce this in the Privacy notice at least 14 days in advance and email the buyers whose page is still running at that time, at the address used for the order. If you do not agree, you can delete your page before the change and get back a proportionate share of the price for the remaining online period. If a service provider has to be replaced immediately because of a fault or security vulnerability, we inform you without undue delay afterwards. For transfers to countries outside the EU, the safeguards set out in the Privacy notice apply.

14.6 What we are responsible for ourselves. We are the controller ourselves for your order data (email address, payment and consent records), for reports, logs and the security of the shop. The Privacy notice applies to this.

14.7 If a law, an authority or a court requires something of us other than your instruction – for example a block or disclosure of information – that takes precedence. We inform you to the extent that we are permitted to.

15. Your own domain

15.1 What this is about. Your page can always be reached via its link at lovepages.app. In addition, you can show it free of charge under your own domain that you already have (for example lena-and-max.com). All other sections of these terms also apply.

15.2 The domain remains yours. You buy and manage the domain yourself with a provider of your choice. We do not become the holder, have no access to your account there and do not renew anything for you.

15.3 What you do. You enter the records that we show you on your manage page with your provider and leave them in place for as long as the page is to be reachable under the domain. You only connect domains that belong to you or for which you have the holder’s permission. Before connecting, we check whether the records point to us and whether the domain belongs to a paid page. You yourself are responsible for your account with the provider and for renewing the domain and its costs.

15.4 When we disconnect. We show your page under your domain for as long as the page is running. We disconnect it when the term ends, when the page is deleted, blocked or removed by the person shown (sections 4, 5.5, 7, 9), when the records no longer point to us or when the domain itself breaches section 6 – for example because it contains third-party trademarks or the full name of a person who does not agree. After that, the domain no longer shows any page from us. We change nothing about your domain itself.

Buying a domain from us

15.5 What this is about. At checkout you can buy a new domain for your page – only together with a page. Sections 15.5 to 15.13 apply to this domain; sections 15.2 and 15.3 do not. Some endings have their own conditions: we offer .de only with an address in Germany.

15.6 Who does what. We register the domain in your name through the registrar Openprovider (Hosting Concepts B.V., the Netherlands). Openprovider is a registrar accredited by ICANN; ICANN is the organisation that sets the rules for domains. You are the holder of the domain. The domain itself is also subject to Openprovider’s terms and the rules of the registry for your domain ending; you accept them by checking the box at checkout. Openprovider’s terms are available only in English: https://www.openprovider.com/legal/terms-conditions (terms and conditions) and https://assets.openprovider.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/08/Domain-Registration-Agreement.pdf (registration agreement). These terms continue to apply to your contract with us.

15.7 Price and term. The price of the domain for the first year is shown at checkout and in your order confirmation, as a separate item next to the price of your page. You pay it once. The domain is registered for one year. There is no automatic renewal and no further charge.

15.8 Immediate registration, no withdrawal for the domain. We register the domain as soon as Paddle has confirmed the payment to us – usually within a few minutes. At checkout you expressly request this and confirm: once the domain is registered, you no longer have a right of withdrawal for it and do not get its price back. This also applies if you withdraw from the contract for your page (section 9), if your page is deleted, blocked or removed, or if its term ends: the domain stays registered in your name, and whatever you get back under these terms, we calculate without the price of the domain. Your rights if the registration is defective remain (section 10).

15.9 If the registration does not work. If the name is no longer available, now costs more at the registrar than was provided for in your order, or cannot be registered for any other reason, we do not register it. You then get the full price of the domain back; we arrange the refund through Paddle. Your page is not affected. You can see this on your manage page and we send you an email about it. If we cannot tell straight away whether a registration worked, we sort it out by hand.

15.10 What we promise.
a) For as long as your page is running, the domain points to your page; section 15.4 applies accordingly.
b) The domain is technically held in our account at Openprovider. We enter HP Capital GmbH as the technical contact and the administrative contact; you alone are the holder.
c) We also order the protection of your contact details in the public directory (WHOIS protection). It works where the domain ending allows it. Openprovider provides the protection with its “Whois Privacy Protection” service under its terms; by buying, you agree to them. The service is intended for private, non-commercial domains.
d) We use the domain for nothing other than your page.

15.11 What you do.
a) At checkout you give correct and complete details (name, address, phone number) and tell us about any changes.
b) After the purchase you receive an email with which you confirm your address. Confirm it within 15 days. Otherwise the domain is suspended under ICANN’s rules; an advertising page of the registrar may then appear instead of your page until you make the confirmation.
c) You promise that, to the best of your knowledge, the domain name does not infringe anyone else’s rights (trademarks, names of well-known people or companies) and does not breach section 6. We reject some names before the purchase. This check is only an aid; it does not promise that a name infringes no one else’s rights.
d) You use the domain you bought for private purposes, not for a business.

15.12 After the first year. The domain expires after one year if it is not extended. We remind you by email 30 and 7 days before it expires, and once more in the first 5 days after. You have two options, both on your manage page:
– Extend with us: one more year at the price shown to you there before payment, one-time. The price depends on the purchase price at the registrar and can change. Nothing is extended automatically afterwards either. We extend after your payment; if that does not work, you get the price back. We cannot offer extension for every domain.
– Transfer: You have the transfer code shown, use it to move the domain to a provider of your choice and renew it there yourself. Before we show you the transfer code, we switch off the WHOIS protection; your details are then shown in the public directory until your new provider protects them again. Shortly after registration, a transfer is not yet possible under the rules of ICANN and the registry.
If you do nothing, you lose the domain: it expires, and the registrar can delete it and register it to someone else.

15.13 After a chargeback or a refund of the domain. If your payment is charged back, you forfeit the domain: we do not renew it, we do not release a transfer code, and we let it expire at the end of its term. If the domain itself is refunded, we block the transfer code and the extension on your manage page and review the domain by hand. If you withdraw from the contract for your page, it is cancelled under section 3.5 or you get the online period refunded in full or in part, the transfer code and the extension remain available as long as the domain stays paid for. Nothing is automatically deleted or cancelled at the registrar in the process. Write to us if you want to keep using the domain. What we store about the domain and for how long is set out in the Privacy notice (section 5.8).
